Door
Fabrication Process
- We begin the door fabrication process
with a detailed design, fabrication schedule and price for the
customer's approval.
- The design is transferred onto 1-3/8"
thick blank door sections that are doubled faced, polystyrene filled and
sealed.
- The outer face is then covered with 3/8"
rough sawn exterior mahogany plywood, and / or further sided with a
variety of cedar wood overlays.
- The cedar boards are kiln-dried, hand
selected 3/4" thick boards which are all stress relieved to reduce
cupping and warping.
- Adhesion is achieved with sub-floor glue
and galvanized pins. Installation is performed by journeymen door
mechanics using heavy-duty commercial grade hardware, tracks and
springs.
- This process gives the customer years of
trouble-free operations.
- Local control allows the customer to
achieve the quality levels in all aspects of design, fabrication,
installation, and budget.
