Door Fabrication Process
  • We begin the door fabrication process with a detailed design, fabrication schedule and price for the customer's approval.
  • The design is transferred onto 1-3/8" thick blank door sections that are doubled faced, polystyrene filled and sealed.
  • The outer face is then covered with 3/8" rough sawn exterior mahogany plywood, and / or further sided with a variety of cedar wood overlays.
  • The cedar boards are kiln-dried, hand selected 3/4" thick boards which are all stress relieved to reduce cupping and warping.
  • Adhesion is achieved with sub-floor glue and galvanized pins. Installation is performed by journeymen door mechanics using heavy-duty commercial grade hardware, tracks and springs.
  • This process gives the customer years of trouble-free operations.
  • Local control allows the customer to achieve the quality levels in all aspects of design, fabrication, installation, and budget.

You have the options to add glazing, forged hardware, arched tops and custom wood overlay designs to meet your architectural desires. At Cascade Door, we offer you a custom look for your dream house.
